Trail beta
Starts at Aspen Draw Trailhead near Summerhaven. Links Green Mountain, Bug Springs, Molino Basin, and La Milagrosa. Significant hike-a-bike sections and exposed rocky terrain. Carry 3+ liters minimum. No resupply. Only for experienced riders comfortable with 6+ hour days in remote terrain.
When to go
Best October through May at lower elevations. Summer is fine for upper sections. Full link-up is a long day. Start early. Monsoon storms (July-Sept) make upper sections dangerous.
Shuttle
Shuttle to Aspen Draw Trailhead at the summit via Catalina Highway. Home Grown MTB runs the dedicated shuttle.
Self-shuttle
Drive up Catalina Highway to the summit (~1 hour), stash a car at the bottom finish point, and ride down. Requires two vehicles or a willing driver.
